The University School of Nashville High School Theater Department invites you to journey "Into the Woods" this fall. Join us from Thursday, November 20 through Sunday, November 23 in Durnan Auditorium for Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s beloved musical, where classic fairy tales intertwine in unexpected, magical — and deeply human — ways.
Featuring characters like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (of beanstalk fame), and a Baker and Baker’s Wife, "Into the Woods" explores what happens when wishes come true — and the consequences that follow. With Sondheim’s witty lyrics and a heartfelt score, this production promises laughter, wonder, and reflection on the stories we tell ourselves.
