5th Grade Hawks Football wins their opener

Rich Bowler
The 5th Grade Hawks football team opened up the season with a 28-0 win over Battle Ground Academy.

The offense wasted no time getting to ddwork and moved the ball all night long. There were plays made by many of the skill guys and the line opened up the holes and gave the QB time to throw.

The defense gave up one 1st down (so they said) but held them scoreless and got their very first impressive shut out this year.

Penalties were minimal and the coaches learned that you can't spike the ball on a touchdown.
