In the News: Aaron Fulk

USN Director of College Counseling Aaron Fulk sat down with The Tennessean to discuss the changing landscape of college admissions and preview Nashville's HBCU Fair at USN, which will take place 2-4 p.m. Saturday, August 24.
"If you know a teenager, you may have been sucked into the inevitable conversation around college. If you have asked them where they applied in the last two or three years, then you may have been taken aback by a look of helplessness in your family member’s or neighbor’s eyes.

And despite this teen always being slightly prone to overreaction, I am here to tell you they are, in fact, responding appropriately.

Unless you are a parent of a high school student or an educator, you may not know that the last few years have upended the status quo: Rising costs of attendance at all universities, increasing complications around standardized testing requirements, the U.S. Supreme Court decision on race-conscious admissions, and — the cherry on this abomination cake — massive delays with the FAFSA last year during an update."
