Seniors explore Venice during field trip to Frist Museum

During a fun visit, seniors in the Literature of the City English seminar took a field trip to the Frist Art Museum's "Venice and the Ottoman Empire" exhibit.

Before they ventured to the Ocoee for their retreat, seniors in Katie Greenebaum's Literature of the City senior English seminar visited the Frist Museum's "Venice and the Ottoman Empire" exhibit in support of their first book, Italo Calvino's "Invisible Cities." This exhibition was particularly well timed, as this book is structured around Marco Polo's tales of his travels through 55 fantastical cities, all of which may in fact be versions of his home city of Venice.
